STAVBA ROKU PLZENSKÉHO KRAJE 2019 – PUBLIC AWARD

The administrative building for the company Konplan has become a new landmark in Plzeň's Borská Pole area. The structure follows a classic tripartite layout with a central core and workspaces along the perimeter, featuring a unique façade composed of perforated slats angled against the sun. This strict metal grid is softened by green islands—large planters designed to accommodate tall vegetation. These green oases are integrated into the interior design, serving as focal points for relaxation zones on each floor. The otherwise austere façade is further lightened by the curved elements of the reception area and cafeteria. The interplay of contrasting materials and forms is characteristic of this building, reflecting a pursuit of individualized solutions for each element. The project also includes a parking area designed with aesthetic considerations and features for rainwater retention.
